Where Valkyrie Chauffeurs Started…
Valkyrie Chauffeurs Ltd was first started by Nathan Bickerdyke in 2014 after he was made redundant from his role as a production planner. The idea of being a chauffeur first came to mind a few years prior when he saw a wedding car driver waiting for the Bride & Groom to come out of the Church in Cheltenham. Nathan remembered thinking to himself at the time “What a rewarding job”. He didn’t act on it straight away because he felt he didn’t have sufficient financial backing at the time to give it the start it needed. When Nathan was made redundant he had the opportunity to realise his dream and used the redundancy package to set up Valkyrie Chauffeurs. Some could say it was a blessing in disguise. Whilst he did not have any private hire background he felt that was not a negative as he wanted to concentrate on the qualities of being a chauffeur, offering quality of service rather than just going from A to B. This is a concept he embraces to this day.
Valkyrie Chauffeurs Ltd offers a wide range of services, including; seaport or airport transfers, weddings & other customised travel for business or pleasure. We are fully licensed by our licencing local authority. We currently own two Mercedes S-Classes and a Mercedes V-Class Executive MPV for bookings. Our vehicles are always kept in pristine condition. For absolute discretion, all our cars are private hire plate exemption approved. This means the vehicles are unmarked and have no requirement to display the council issued private hire licence plate.
Luxury Vehicles
Specialising in the highest level of luxury vehicles. It is important to us to ensure that we maintain the values and attributes of a chauffeur. That is reflected with the vehicles we use, and in our standards. Mercedes, for us is a manufacturer that continues to deliver true excellence in luxury to the highest level. However, we can also access BMW & Audi’s through our trusted network.
Employed Drivers
Our drivers are important to us and we understand the value that our drivers bring to our service delivery. We believe there is no better way to show our chauffeurs are a valued part of our business then to employ them with all the associated benefits of PAYE. This helps us maintain high standards of service delivery. After all a happy employee means a happy customer.
Strong Networks
We recognise that the customer demand may surpass our vehicle fleet. We strive ourselves on helping customers source vehicles for their travel needs. As well as our own employed drivers we also have strong reliable network of Operators that we work with who can assist when we ourselves are unavailable. We conduct due diligence to ensure ant contractors are licensed & recommended.
Honest Approach
Valkyrie Chauffeurs is built with strong ethics. We are registered VAT and a PAYE employer. We will be upfront and honest about our business, services, vehicles and our availability. Where we ourselves cannot assist we will make sure that we help you find what you need using our experience and our network of Private Hire Operators established over the years.
We Are We Going?
Since 2014 the business has gone from strength to strength seeing the expansion of vehicles & services as well as valuable networking with local hotels, businesses and other chauffeurs who have access to additional vehicles, whom we can trust to offer a good service worthy of our high standards. In October 2018 Nathan’s wife Leigh-Ann made the decision to leave her role within the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit, and a 16 year career as a Detective Constable to support the growth of Valkyrie Chauffeurs full time. Having a female driver is welcomed and provides diversity within the brand. As an ex-police officer, Leigh-Ann brings valuable driving skills as well as First Aid training and experiencing in safeguarding. Our growth has been at a natural pace and has been with our customer’s needs at the forefront. After all, it is our customers who make it all possible.
Nathan too has expanded his knowledge base and experience following the impact of Covid19 Nathan took his Close Protection course and is now authorised in level 3 first aid and licensed for Close Protection Services by the UK’s authorising body SIA. We introduced our mascot Val to the business at the National Wedding Show 2018 at the Birmingham NEC who was an absolute hit with the crowds.
